Panel Discussion - Effects of COVID 19 on Manufacturing

COVID 19 has hit all phases of the Construction Industry. One phase of the industry which has not been discussed in any great length or in a panel format is the Manufacturing and Product Representation. The goal of this panel discussion is to allow representatives from several different manufacturing companies briefly discuss the initial, current and future impact COVID 19 has on their ability to provide services and products. Giving a platform to the manufacturing and product representation communities to provide Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Owners, and the Design Team (Architects, Engineers, Specialty Consultants, etc) with a peek into the effects the COVID 19 Pandemic has had on their processes, their people and their financial status.

Learning Objectives: 
  1. The participant will hear how COVID-19 and the subsequent imposed closure and other requirements immediately effected the manufacturing industry both in the process and the financial aspects.
  2. How COVID-19 effected the #1 asset of any business, the people working the lines and in the offices including reduction or loss of hours and the relevant financial hardships imposed.
  3. What has changed in their manufacturing process and what changes are temporary and what are permanent.
  4. How has the company and the industry as a whole done to impact the hardships imposed on the employees and their families.
  5. Based on the situation currently, what is the future predictions on how the manufacturing industry will be changed into the next year to five years.
